Routine decontamination method
After each patient use and whenever visibly soiled, clean the mattress cover with warm water and detergent and dry thoroughly. If the mattress is visibly soiled with blood or body fluids, clean it according to local spillage policy.
Additional recommendations
Check the mattress cover frequently and discard if there is a break in the cover. Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions and adhere to local procedures and policies.
